Driving East from downtown you'll take a left off Broadway into the park. This left is about 1/8 mile AFTER passing through the Broadway & Old 63 intersection. When you enter the park, stay to the right.

March 24, 2008:
Some disc sport brethren to our East (St. Louis) have asked me to post this One Trick Pony tryout information.
If you competed or were a spectator at the 2007 UPA W. Plains Mixed Sectionals, held in Jefferson City area, have a sense of the depth of this team.
John "Jaws" B. and other Mid-Missouri ringers hung with this One Trick Pony squad last year (But don't tell team Handlebars I mentioned it.).
Read on...
Announcing tryouts for One Trick Pony, St. Louis' fastest and most bodacious mixed Ultimate team.

Please join us for competitive play on Thursday nights. Feel free to pass this along to anyone you think may be interested.

March 11, 2008:
Okay folks, it appears Spring league is not happening. Seems it has fallen through in St. Louis also.
Which day will be The pickup day this season? Sun. Mon. or Tues? Which location? Hinkson or Stephens Lake?
Send us a note and we'll do our best to keep our finger on the pulse of Columbia ultimate.
Show-Me Games update: We are already getting inquiries about this year's Show-Me ultimate games here in Columbia MO July 19-20. Paul Dickerson and myself have set a goal of numbers 25% above 2007.
Also, Branson MO is having a savage 7 tourney this weekend. Best of luck to the folks running that first ever (?) tourney.
Give the tourney page a look for Show-Me ultimate & Branson tourney links.

Sat. Feb 23, 2008:
Stop by Hinkson this weekend folks.
The University of Texas at Austin women & those MUchachas have a nice tourney going on down there. The temps really aren't tooo bad. Sunday will be warmer at 45 or so.
MUtants A team wandered all the way to Harrisonburg Virginia this weekend for JMUs Hellfish Bonanza Tournament. Long drive huh?
Best of luck to the MUchachas. Fresa has her camera out. Look for photos sometime soonish on the Columbia Ultimate Players site.

Thurs. Jan 24, 2008:
Warm weekend ahead and everyone is drooling for those warm temps Sunday at 2:00 on Hinkson fields I think.
Also, the college teams are thinking of their visit to Baton Rouge (red stick) Louisiana for Mardi Gras tournament.
Freestyle demos are known to show up at that tournament. Keep an eye out for those jammers.
Later,
Hank & Co.

Pickup games happen on the Hinkson fields Sun. @ 2:00 PM during these winter months. Come one, come all. No experience necessary.
2007 was a pretty impressive year for Missouri ultimate. We at tiu.com think 2007 was arguably the most impressive year in Missouri ultimate history (in terms of size and number of tournament productions). Notably the tournaments which took place in the Jeff City / Columbia community and way down SW in Springfield. KC and Saint Lou also put on some nice events.
Locally (Columbia) things are shifting a bit in 2008.
Spring league may or may not happen & Fresa has passed the Show Me State Games ultimate tournament responsibilities off to myself and Paul Dickerson.
Mark you calendars for Show Me State Games, ultimate July 19-20 2008 (Hinkson fields).
Last but not least, the first ultimate tournament of 2008 in Columbia is an all women's college tournament, Feb. 23-24 at Hinkson fields. Mike Houston, the MUchachas and some very organized folks out of Austin TX are putting it on. These same Austin TX folks did a tournament in Kansas City several months back. See our tournament links page for more details

Peter Mc
